Genuine Kitchen Quotes was conceived by myself, Dave Gomm, of Wantage, whilst and after I was working as a kitchen designer for Moben Kitchens, prior to their demise. I was very happy visiting customers in their own homes and designing “The Kitchen of your Dreams”, however was often disappointed at the end of the evening, after “ringing in to check with my boss” “checking we still have those in stock”, etc, or starting at £50,000 and then quoting £11,000 after all the 50% off, seasonal discounts, etc, etc...(And actually being able to offer eventually for £9,000)!

All the normal “Sales speil” I.e. “extra discounts for completing on the night”, “Free Dishwashers” etc, etc all come at a cost-and you NEVER get Something for nothing! The general public are definitely not stupid-and are looking for Value for money, quality-and honesty.

Offers such as 50% off (Offer ends Sunday) always begged the question; 50% off of what? Kitchen Purchasing, from my experience is always going to be a question of the right product at the right price. When I quote you for a kitchen, I will ascertain your needs and give you the best price that I can on the initial quote. We will not be offering 50% or 70% off, just an honest NET QUOTE.

So after weighing up my customer feedback, and researching Wicks, Magnet, John Lewis, Wentworth, etc, I found that of kitchens similar to Moben in terms of build quality, 18mm cabinet thickness, range, accessories and appliances, Howdens, in my experience and opinion, were the most suitably comparable. The prices as a direct comparison are markedly less expensive. Not only this but Howdens do not sell direct to the public-they manufacture a vast range of quality kitchens, which are available in ready-made format, and are in stock-therefore available, in most cases, for the next day delivery.

I therefore sourced my own reliable fitting teams, and set about finding a more realistically priced product of the same quality-after all, unless you are actually spending £50,000-£60,000+ on a bespoke, tailor made solid wood kitchen, the fact remains the quote that you receive will be for largely units made from MDF. (Medium Density Fibreboard)

Our price will be the price of the kitchen, NET plus any extra’s and fitting if required. You will find that our price is comparable to anyone else’s quote because we ONLY use the Howdens product, which is brilliant quality at a competitive price, and we have not got any huge overheads, staffing or administration costs.
